Permit issued

On August 28, 2023 a project permit was issued to Westshore Terminals Limited Partnership to transport approximately 80,000 tonnes of preload sand to its terminal at 1 Roberts Bank, Delta, British Columbia on federal lands managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.

The project was approved subject to 25 permit conditions the applicant must meet to ensure the project does not result in significant adverse environmental effects. Please see the Impact Assessment Act Registry for the Notice of Intent and Notice of Decision.

About the project 

Westshore Terminals Limited Partnership proposes to transport approximately 80,000 tonnes of preload sand to its terminal to enable the potential future expansion of the new potash building approved under PER No. 20-209. This future expansion would be submitted as a separate application and is not part of the scope of this project. The project also includes the removal of the preload sand after it has settled.
