Queensgate Marina | Queensgate Routine Maintenance Dredging
Project status
Permit amendment issued
In October 2024, amendment PER No. 22-187-01 was issued to Queensgate Marine. The amendment approved an increase to the allowable dredge volume from 6,000 to 8,000 cubic metres and extend the dredge footprint by 3 metres to the north of the marina (total footprint would increase from 4,000 to 4500 square metres). Located at 700-800 South Dyke Road in New Westminster, British Columbia on federal lands and waters managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.
About the proposed amendment:
Queensgate Marina amended the permitted project with the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority to increase the allowable dredge volume from 6,000 to 8,000 cubic metres and extend the dredge footprint by 3 metres to the north of the marina (total footprint would increase from 4,000 to 4500 square metres), as additional dredging is required due to unanticipated sediment deposition from recent freshets.
Permit issued
On February 7, 2023 a project permit was issued to Queensgate Marine (“Applicant”) to undertake Queensgate Routine Maintenance Dredging at the water lot fronting 700-800 South Dyke Road in New Westminster, British Columbia on federal lands and waters managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.
The project was approved subject to 34 permit conditions applicant must meet to ensure the project does not result in significant adverse environmental effects. Please see the Impact Assessment Act Registry for the Notice of Intent and Notice of Decision.
About the project
