Permit application under review

In September 2023, International Forest Products Limited (Applicant) submitted a project permit application for pile and debris removal, located at 20580 Maple Crescent, and water lots immediately upstream, Maple Ridge, British Columbia on federal lands and waters managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.

As part of the Project and Environmental Review  for the proposed project under the Impact Assessment Act, the proposed project was posted on the Canadian Impact Assessment Registry with an opportunity for public comment between January 12 and February 10, 2024. The port authority will conduct formal consultation activities with stakeholders and Indigenous groups.

About the project

Is to remove approximately 450 steel and wood piles in various combinations, dolphins, a sunken dock, and various anthropogenic debris, from 4 separate water lots in the Fraser River.
