Permit application under review

In September 2021, Fortis BC submitted a project permit application to carry out improvements to an existing barge landing located on the east bank at the head of Indian Arm, British Columbia on federal lands and waters managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.

As part of the Project and Environmental Review  for the proposed project under the Impact Assessment Act, the proposed project was posted on the Canadian Impact Assessment Registry with an opportunity for public comment between January 23 and February 21, 2024.

About the project

Improvements to an existing barge landing site at the head of Indian Arm of Burrard Inlet. The improvements would include expansion of a truck turn around area and upgrades to the existing barge ramp.
