Existing dock replacement – 2660 Panorama Drive

Project status
Permit issued

On February 28, 2024 a project permit was issued to Upland Owner to replace an existing dock at 2660 Panorama Drive, in North Vancouver, British Columbia on federal lands and water managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.

The project was approved subject to 34 permit conditions applicant must meet to ensure the project does not result in significant adverse environmental effects. Please see the Impact Assessment Act Registry for the Notice of Intent and Notice of Decision.

About the project

Replacement of existing dock in disrepair:

  • New fixed dock will be raised to a higher elevation with the addition of precast/cast in place concrete forms.
  • The upgraded fixed dock will connect to the upgraded walkway and will be supported by two metal monopiles replacing the two existing wood creosote piles.
  • A hinged ramp that connects to the moorage float and is kept in place by three steel piles.
  • Floatation for the moorage float will be encased polystyrene billets.
  • The new dock and piles will be prefabricated off-site then floated to the site by barge and installed using a marine crane.
