Along with over 450 North American port authorities, ship owners, terminals, shipyards and others, we are Green Marine members, with Green Marine environmental certification.
This voluntary program for the North American marine industry recognizes participants who meet or exceed environmental best practices.
It helps us compare our environmental programs and initiatives against others across Canada and the United States, so that we can understand where we are doing well, and where there are opportunities for improvement.

Results are reported on a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 indicates meeting regulatory standards and 5 indicates excellence and leadership. The annual results for all participating members are published in Green Marine’s performance report.
Through our EcoAction Program, we also recognize shipping companies that receive Green Marine certification for reducing air emissions, including greenhouse gases, and underwater noise.
