World Maritime Day at the Port of Vancouver

Come celebrate World Maritime Day at the Port of Vancouver, an event to celebrate the local maritime community and educate the public on port operations and initiatives. This free, family-friendly event will feature exhibitor’s booths and displays, on water demonstrations, performances with maritime flair, community activations, speaker presentations, public harbour tours and much more!
About World Maritime Day
World Maritime Day was established by the International Maritime Organization, with celebrations held internationally to recognize the importance of shipping safety, maritime security and the marine environment. The theme for this year is ‘Empowered Women in the Maritime Community’.

Public Harbour Tours:
In celebration of World Maritime Day, the Port of Vancouver is hosting two family-friendly guided boat tours of the inner harbour on Saturday, September 28. Experience the sights and sounds of a busy harbour while learning about Canada’s largest and most diversified port. Net proceeds from each tour will be donated to a local charitable organization within the port community.
