Showing support for B.C.’s essential service healthcare workers

April 2, 2020

In recognition and support of B.C.’s healthcare workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Canada Place Heritage Horns are sounding off at 7:00 p.m. nightly and the Canada Place Sails of Light are illuminated in blue, representing the colour of healthcare worker scrubs. The 7:00 p.m. sounding of the heritage horns is in addition to the standard horns at noon daily

Starting on Friday, April 3, the Chamber of Shipping is coordinating ships all along the coast of British Columbia to sound their horns weekly on Friday at 7:00 p.m. in solidarity with the movement to thank health care workers for their continued efforts and dedication to support British Columbians.
