Permit issued

In January 2021, a project permit was issued to Pacific Gateway Constructors General Partnership (the Permit Holder) to modify an existing storage yard to temporarily create a truck parking area under the scope of the Highway 91/17 Upgrade project. The proposed project site is located at 10008-10022 River Road in Delta, on lands managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.

The project was approved subject to 27 permit conditions that the Permit Holder must meet to ensure the project does not result in significant adverse environmental effects.

Construction is anticipated to occur over a two-week period, during spring 2021.

About the project

Pacific Gateway Constructors General Partnership on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure are proposing to modify an existing storage yard to temporarily create a truck parking area under the scope of the Highway 91/17 Upgrade project at 10008-10022 River Road in Delta, BC. As part of the project, the applicant is proposing to install a temporary portable restroom facility and 12 LED operated overhead lights/poles. The works will require 12 augured hole excavations to install the light poles and may also require minor trenching for water service. The works are anticipated to place during standard working hours and take approximately one week to complete.
