Island Tug and Barge Ltd. | Installation of Eight Steel Pipe Piles
Permit amendment issued
On August 20, 2021, the port authority issued an amendment to Island Tug and Barge Limited to extend the expiry date of the PER No. 18-184-01, Installation of 8 steel pipe piles up until December 31, 2021.
About the proposed amendment
The installation of the piles had been delayed for various reasons and work cannot proceed until after the fisheries sensitive period, therefore, an extension to the permit was required to complete the work in late 2021. This required an extension to the approved project permit No. 18-184, which had an expiry date of February 28, 2021.
The installation of the piles at the permit holder’s facility is for the purpose of vessel moorage and vessel to vessel fuel lightering.
