Permit issued
In September 2021, a project permit was issued to GCT Global Container Terminals Inc. to install a dedicated custom-built specialist data building at 1300 Stewart Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, on federal lands managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.
The project was approved subject to 30 permit conditions the Applicant must meet to ensure the project does not result in significant adverse environmental effects.
About the project
GCT Global Container Terminals Inc. proposes to install a dedicated custom-built specialist data building approximately 30 square metres to house data equipment. It would be placed on a concrete foundation excavated to a depth of 0.4 metres with above ground electrical and fibre connection. Barriers would also be installed to protect the building.
