Fraser River Pile and Dredge No. 8 Road Barge Ramp Maintenance Dredging

Permit issued

In February 2020, a project permit was issued to Fraser River Pile & Dredge (GP) Inc. (the Applicant) to dredge the waterlot located at the No. 8 Barge Ramp, located adjacent to 16100 Portside Road, Richmond, British Columbia on federal lands managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.

The project was approved subject to 29 permit conditions that Fraser River Pile & Dredge (GP) Inc. must meet to ensure the project does not result in significant adverse environmental effects.

About the project

Fraser River Pile & Dredge (GP) Inc. propose to dredge a footprint of approximately 2400 square meters, with a total volume dredged sediment less than 4000 cubic meters. The Sediment will be disposed at the Point Grey Disposal at Sea site, subject to approval for Disposal at Sea by Environment and Climate Change Canada.
