Permit issued

On December 1, 2022, a project permit was issued to DP World Fraser Surrey to undertake a Test Pile Program – Fraser Surrey Canola Oil Project, located at 11060 Elevator Road, Surrey, British Columbia on federal lands managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.

The project was approved subject to 35 permit conditions applicant must meet to ensure the project does not result in significant adverse environmental effects.

About the project
Stantec Consulting Ltd. on behalf of DP World Fraser Surrey will carry out an upland test pile program at DP World Fraser Surrey Terminal, 11060 Elevator Road, Surrey, BC. The Project consists of completing static and dynamic load testing on an approximately 762 by 16 millimetre closed-end steel pipe test pile. The test pile will be driven to approximately 19 metres embedment depth. Four approximately 762 millimetre diameter steel piles will be installed to form the frame for the test. Piles will be installed using an impact hammer and seated with a vibratory hammer.  All piles will be either cut off at approximately 30 centimetres below grade or will be removed by DP World.
