November 27, 2020

Permit issued

In February 2021, a project permit was issued to the City of Port Moody (the Applicant) to install new scour protection and repair the concrete boat launch ramp located at Rocky Point Park in Port Moody, BC, on lands and waters managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.

The project was approved subject to 38 permit conditions that the City of Port Moody must meet to ensure the project does not result in significant adverse environmental effects.

The works are proposed to take place during applicable least risk fish windows for Burrard Inlet. Extended hours may be required to complete construction activities during favorable lowest tide conditions.

About the project

The proposed scour protection includes the installation of custom gabion structures at the toe of the ramp.
