Project status
Permits issued (Phase 1, 2 and 3)
On October 8, 2015, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority issued a project permit (PP 2015-098) to Beedie Development Group to construct a third building at 501 Boyd Street in New Westminster. This is in addition to project permits (PP 2012-104 and PP 2013-126) previously issued on February 15, 2013 and March 25, 2014 for phase one and two of their project to develop a light industrial warehouse distribution facility at 501 Boyd Street in New Westminster. The project permits, including conditions, are available below.
About the projects
Proposed activities for the site include handling of materials from incoming container trucks and loading those materials into outbound trucks for distribution across Canada.
Phases 1 and 2 (permits issued and buildings complete)
- The first two phases included the construction of two warehouse buildings (of approximately 43,000 square feet and 245,000 square feet). Both buildings are complete.
Phase 3 (permit issued)
- Construction of the third and final warehouse (approximately 299,000 square feet) on the site.
