Amix Pile and Float Removal

Permit issued

In March 2020, a project permit was issued to Amix Salvage & Sales Ltd. (the Applicant), to remove existing dock structures from their Surrey marine facility in order to vacate the property at 12021 Musqueam Drive, Surrey, British Columbia on federal lands managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.

The project was approved subject to 25 permit conditions that Amix Salvage & Sales Ltd. must meet to ensure the project does not result in significant adverse environmental effects.

About the project

Amix Salvage & Sales Ltd. proposes to remove existing dock structures from their Surrey marine facility in order to vacate the property. The project consists of the removal of three dock structures and associated piles (ten 91.5 cm steel piles) from the water lot in the Fraser River. The piles will be removed using a barge mounted vibratory hammer and docks will be towed to another facility.
