In celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday, CN’s Joslyn Young discusses the deep-rooted history of CN’s transcontinental railway across Canada moving our nation’s goods and connecting Canadian communities across the country. Similarly, the Port of Vancouver’s impact across the country is significant, moving approximately $200 billion worth of goods annually, generating more than 100,000 jobs, and more than $11 billion in gross domestic product across Canada. Together, port terminals and railways, along with the region’s highways, bridges and tunnels form a robust network of trade infrastructure essential to B.C.’s economy.
