Opinion: Storm water management key to sustainable waterways

Glen Parker, board member of North Shore Streamkeepers, a non-profit dedicated to the enhancement and protection of streams across the North Shore addresses the need for storm water management on the North Shore to prevent harmful pollutants from entering into our waterways and endangering our ecosystems and fish populations.
Parker discusses how effective stormwater management will only be possible with the support of industry leaders and commends the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority for its work with local terminals along the North Shore to manage stormwater runoff through an environmental review process, development of stormwater management plans, and installation of appropriate infrastructure.
