Joanne McLeod appointed to Vancouver Fraser Port Authority board of directors
Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, in conjunction with the minister of transport and on the recommendation of a committee of port users, has appointed Joanne McLeod to the board of directors of the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority for a term of three years commencing December 20, 2017.
Ms. McLeod has extensive banking, finance and capital project experience, and has served on professional and non-profit boards of directors. She is a former energy executive with Westcoast Energy Inc. and was vice president and treasurer when Westcoast Energy was acquired by Duke Energy. Prior to that, Ms. McLeod worked in corporate banking for CIBC in the energy, regulated businesses and government sectors.
The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority’s board of directors is composed of 11 members: one federal appointee; one British Columbia provincial appointee; one appointee for the Prairie provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba; one appointee representing the 16 municipalities bordering the port; and, seven federal appointees recommended by port users.
