According to the new president of the Chamber of Shipping in B.C.,when it comes to shipping safety on the West Coast and in Canada, the numbers speak for themselves.
“We have a safety record that is among the best in the world and on the West Coast we have the best record in Canada,” Robert Lewis-Manning says. “The reasons why are many. They include, but are not limited to, a culture of safety, a pilotage system that is world-class, guide ships, tugs, traffic control systems and traffic management strategies that focus on environmental protection.” Read more.
