Neptune – Rail Bypass Track Layout

In November 2019, Neptune Bulk Terminals Canada Ltd. submitted a project permit application to upgrade existing rail lines on their terminal located at 1001 Low Level Road, North Vancouver, British Columbia on federal lands and waters managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.
As part of the Project and Environmental Review for the proposed project under the Impact Assessment Act, the proposed project is posted on the Canadian Impact Assessment Registry with an opportunity for public comment between November 19, 2019 to December 18, 2019.
About the project
Neptune Bulk Terminals Canada Ltd. (the Applicant) is proposing to upgrade existing rail lines on their terminal located at 1001 Low Level Road, North Vancouver. The project consists of modifying, extending, replacing, or installing approximately 4,219 metres of railway track. Works are proposed Monday to Saturday, excluding Statutory Holidays, for 24 hours a day. This will allow works to be completed outside regular rail schedules. Construction activities include minor excavation and fill to bring new and modified railways tracks to the specified elevations.
