Amix Pile and Float Removal

In November, 2019, Amix Salvage & Sales Ltd (the Applicant), submitted a project permit application to remove existing dock structures from their Surrey marine facility in order to vacate the property at 12021 Musqueam Drive, Surrey, British Columbia on federal lands and waters managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.
As part of the Project and Environmental Review for the proposed project under the Impact Assessment Act, the proposed project is posted on the Canadian Impact Assessment Registry here with an opportunity for public comment between November 27, 2019 to December 26, 2019.
About the project
Amix Salvage & Sales Ltd. proposes to remove existing dock structures from their Surrey marine facility in order to vacate the property. The project consists of the removal of three dock structures and associated piles (ten 91.5 cm steel piles) from the water lot in the Fraser River. The piles will be removed using a barge mounted vibratory hammer and docks will be towed to another facility.
Should the proposed project be approved, construction is expected to take place in early February 2020 and will take up to four days to complete.
