Deltaport
Deltaport is the Port of Vancouver's largest
container terminal, located at Roberts Bank, 35 kilometres south
of Vancouver's inner harbour. The terminal is designed to handle
the largest container ships afloat and features Super Post-Panamax
container cranes, two berths and advanced computer systems.
Deltaport is ISPS compliant.
View Terminal Detail Map TSI Terminal Systems Inc. operates Deltaport under a long-term lease agreement with the Vancouver Port Authority. TSI is a marine terminal services company dedicated to providing world-class service through the strategic development and integration of leading-edge technology, progressive management and commitment to excellence. Commodities Handled: Containerized cargo is the main focus. Project cargoes are also handled. Total Area: 65 hectares (160 acres) Berths: Two container berths: 670 metres long (2,198 ft.) Third berth under construction. Water Depths: 15.85 metres (52 ft.) deep at mean low water Container Yard: 24,000 full TEUs at 3-high. 3-high grounded operation loads. 5-high grounded operation empties Rail Services: Eight rail tracks of 3,500 feet each, providing capacity for four 7,000 foot double-stack trains at 440 TEUs per train. Grounded storage capacity in the Intermodal Yard of approximately 1,200 TEUs. Multi-trailer system to expedite containers to rail from vessel. Serviced directly by two intercontinental railways: CN and CPR. Truck Gate: Radio data controlled in-bound and exit gate for efficient turnaround times. 6-lane pre-gate, 14-lane main gate. Closed circuit TV cameras via Internet to monitor truck lane traffic. Extended hours and a mandatory truck reservation system for efficient use of truck lanes. 2 truck weigh scales. Equipment:
