Located on the north shore of the Port’s inner harbour, Vancouver Wharves offers a variety of inbound and outbound services for bulk and breakbulk shippers moving product to and from all regions of Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. Vancouver Wharves receives railcars directly from CN Rail and via interchanges from CP and Burlington Northern Santa Fe and is located within five minutes of the Trans-Canada Hwy. The multi-product facility provides some of the most modern and efficient handling capabilities on the west coast. View Terminal Detail Map Bulk Commodities Handled: Mineral concentrates, liquids, sulphur/fertilizers, specialty agriproducts and other dry bulk commodities. Total Area: 45 hectare site (111 acres) Berths: Five deepsea berths in total, wharf frontage of 900 metres. Berth 1: depth 13.7 metres. Berths 2 and 3: depth 11.3 metres. Berth 4: depth 12.8 metres. Berth 5: depth 12.8 metres. Storage: Site total approximately 1 million tonnes. Minerals storage totals approximately 500,000 tonnes in multiple separations. Pulp storage - 35,000 sq. metres covered storage on wide apron dock area. Liquids storage - two 1-million-US-gallon tanks and two 4-million-US-gallon tanks. Sulphur storage totals approximately 175,000 tonnes. Agriproducts storage includes 10 bins that hold approximately 30,000 tonnes in total. Large land base available on which to build more storage. Rail Services: Multiple track areas including a loop track capable of receiving unit trains. Serviced by CN and regularly receives product via interchange from other railways.
