Fibreco
Fibreco Terminal is located on the north shore
of Burrard Inlet. Fibreco is one of the most modern and largest
woodchip handling facilities in the world, with a present capacity
of 2 million tonnes per year. The ship berth can handle vessels up
to 265 metres long with 11.5 metres draught. Chips are loaded
under pneumatic pressure at a rate of up to 1,200 short tons per
hour, with an articulated chip flinger directing chips into every
corner of the ship's hold.
