Located on the north shore of the Port’s inner harbour, Vancouver Wharves offers a variety of inbound and outbound services for bulk and breakbulk shippers moving product to and from all regions of Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. Vancouver Wharves receives railcars directly from CN Rail and via interchanges from CP and Burlington Northern Santa Fe and is located within five minutes of the Trans-Canada Hwy. The multi-product facility provides some of the most modern and efficient handling capabilities on the west coast. With the capacity to handle as much as 10 million tonnes of cargo annually, the terminal helps to ensure the competitiveness of western Canada’s resource-based industries. Breakbulk Commodities Handled: Pulp.

Total Area: 45 hectare site (111 acres)

Berths: Five deepsea berths, total wharf frontage of 900 metres. Berths 2 and 3: Breakbulk (pulp) facility, depth 11.3 metres, combined length 280 metres. Berths 2 and 3: Breakbulk facility handling pulp and paper, depth 11.2 metres, combined length 411 metres.

Storage: Site total approximately 1 million tonnes; 35,000 sq. metres covered storage for pulp on wide apron dock area close to the dock.

Rail Services: Serviced by CN.

Breakbulk Equipment: Berths 2 and 3:
