The VFPA is undertaking the development of a management plan for residential recreational waterfront facilities for areas within Indian Arm and Port Moody Arm.
The process will include consultation with municipalities, First Nations, waterfront property owners and communities and will take approximately 6-8 months to complete.

During the study and development process, the VFPA will not be accepting applications for residential recreational waterfront facilities unless prior contact has been made in writing with VFPA’s Planning and Development Department.

The suspension will be applicable to Indian Arm and Port Moody Arm with the exception of:
* Bedwell Bay in the Village of Belcarra
* Grey Rock Island area in the District of North Vancouver
* Beachview Dr./Harris Pl. cove area in the District of North Vancouver

Planning processes and/or shared facility guidelines are in place in these areas.

Once the management plan has been finalised by the end of 2008, we will remove the suspension on applications and begin effective administration of the management plan at the beginning of 2009.
