The Vancouver Port Authority is committed to involving the local community and others in an open and interactive public consultation process that is fully integrated with the project review. All interested parties and members of the public will have ample opportunity to access information about the project and the environmental assessment review process; engage in dialogue with Port staff and technical consultants; and provide their input on project studies, design, construction and operations.

The Port is committed to consultation with First Nations with traditional interests in the area of the Deltaport Third Berth Project.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Open House at the Coast Tsawwassen Inn on December 13, 2005.

The Vancouver Port Authority submitted its Environmental Assessment Certificate Application for the Project to the EAO in January 2005. The EAO formal public comment period started on February 24, 2005 and closed on May 9, 2005. On May 4, 2005, the EAO announced a second formal public comment period, which started on May 11, 2005 and closed on May 18, 2005.
