Deltaport Third Berth Project Community Liaison Committee Underway
Vancouver, BC The Vancouver Port Authority (VPA) today announced the formation of the Deltaport Third Berth Project Community Liaison Committee (DCLC).

The purpose of the DCLC is to work with the VPA during the construction and first year operation of the Deltaport Third Berth Project at Roberts Bank. The committee will discuss community concerns, develop potential solutions to address those concerns, and assist in communicating information among the community, VPA and other port stakeholders.

"The VPA is optimistic about the launch of the Deltaport Third Berth Project Community Liaison Committee," said Lori Lindahl, Vice President, Corporate Services, Vancouver Port Authority and the VPA's representative on the committee. "The committee has an important social mandate and I am sure the members are ready for the challenges of representing the views of the broader community."

The committee's members include residents, representatives from businesses and community groups, and port stakeholders from Delta. Collectively, they bring to the table a variety of interests, geographic representation within Delta and a wealth of expertise and experience, both technical and social.
