June 3, 2005 MEDIA ADVISORY: Oceans Day Family Celebration
VANCOUVER, BC Media are invited to join families as they learn more about the wonders of water during an Oceans Day Celebration hosted by the Vancouver Aquarium and the Vancouver Port Authority. This free family event in Stanley Park on the seawall near Lumbermen's Arch is on Sunday, June 5 from 11 a.m. 3 p.m.
Kids will sing along with Bobs and Lolo and the Sea Notes band, test drive a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) from Roper Resources, meet mascots Salty Sam and Bee Bop Beluga, watch the Aquarium dive team in action, see live animals, do ocean crafts with the Port team, and learn about the importance of our oceans. Everyone is welcome!
