April 25, 2005

MEDIA ADVISORY:

Time/Date Change: Super Post-Panamax Cranes now to Pass Under Lions Gate Bridge April 27
What:
The delivery of two Super Post-Panamax cranes destined for Vanterm terminal has been rescheduled. An inability to lower the cranes' booms in time to create the necessary air draught for the vessel to transit safely under the Lions Gate Bridge during low tide is the reason for the delay.

When & Where:
Wednesday, April 27 during low tide, transit under Lions Gate Bridge estimated to be between 2:45pm 3:45 pm

For information about the cranes and the Port of Vancouver's efforts to manage the growing container sector, see Super Post-Panamax Cranes to Pass Under Lions Gate on Monday Morning
