FIRST ROUND OF ROBERTS BANK PARTNERS COMMUNITY GRANTS ANNOUNCED
VANCOUVER Community grants for a wide range of projects - including social, sports and community programs - were announced today by the Roberts Bank Partners Community Grants Fund. A total of 17 grants were handed out by Vancouver Port Authority (VPA), TSI Terminal Systems Inc. and Westshore Terminals Ltd. (collectively known as the Roberts Bank Partners) as part of a VPA and Corporation of Delta amenities agreement to support social, educational and recreational groups in Delta.



The 17 Delta-based organizations are:



Tsawwassen Shrine Club 31

Tsawwassen Boundary Bay Lions Club


South Delta Stroke Recovery Society

North Delta Bees Fast-pitch

Ladner Pioneer May Days

Heat 89 Fast-pitch Team

Down Unders Womens Slo-pitch

Delta Marine Rescue Society

Delta Heat 87 Girls' Rep A Fast-pitch

Delta Riding Club

Cliff Drive Elementary School


Ladner Pioneer's Senior Lacrosse

South Delta Secondary School Cheer Squad

Pacific Coast Explorations Society

Delta School District 37

South Park Elementary School

Ladner Elementary School



The next deadline for applications is May 31, 2001.
