The Vancouver Port Authority (“VPA”) recognizes that third parties may want to use VPA property for filming, parking, special events, and other general uses on a short-term basis. These requests require the submission and approval of an application form. VPA endeavors to accommodate these requests as long as it does not interfere with Port operations (shipping, navigation and transportation) or other Port interests.
VPA property falls into two categories:
1) Vacant Land and Water
2) VPA Cruise Ship Terminals
If you are interested in using VPA property that is presently occupied, please call VPA’s Real Estate department at 604.665.9196 for tenant contact information. Your use of the occupied property is subject to you reaching an agreement with the existing occupant. In turn, it is the existing occupant’s responsibility to obtain VPA’s consent to your use of the property.
VPA often receives requests from the film industry and community event planners. To accommodate the increasing demand of requests and assistant to the applicants, VPA has developed and revised the Short Term Use Guideline and application forms. Guidelines have been developed for each event type to describe VPA’s licensing procedures, charges and information required to process an application form.
It is recommended that all Applicants review the Short Term Use Guideline prior to the completing the application form.
