Port in a Box

Welcome to Port in a Box! This is the condensed waterfront classroom that will help guide you through the Port in your backyard. For excercises related to a particular age or audience please connect to the appropriate links under educational resources. You can access primary activities, secondary activities or post-secondary activities.

We have created tools accessible through the web so that educators are able to bring the Port into their classrooms. Each of the activities can act as pre and post field trip excercises. In addition we have a complete fieldtrip guide to your waterfront. Have you ever wondered how to access the waterfront? This guide will assist the user in seeing all of the key waterfront access points. It details a number of interesting stops along the way and lays out learning outcomes and excercises for each location.

In addition to the on-line resources we also have a lunch-box size Port in a Box with physical resources for educational classrooms. Contact your district resource centre or principal to connect to the Port in a Box in your area, or contact us if you would like to request a box.
