Educational Resources

Thousands of students visit the Port of Vancouver each year. From grade three classes studying Canada to University programmes specializing in shipping and trade, the Vancouver Port Authority is pleased to offer a range of education outreach programming for a number of ages and focus areas. Our interpretive centre is home to our education outreach. Here, each year thousands of students come to learn about the Port of Vancouver. Contact our community relations team to book a presentation or Kerri Buschel to find out more about our programmes.

We are pleased to offer drop in presentations on Wednesdays and Fridays at 2pm. Drop ins are a way to learn about the general or business information that you're interested in with regard to the Port. In these presentations we talk about the geography, cargo and trading partners of the Port of Vancouver. Each presentation is interactive and can be geared to your specific interest. Come visit our interpretive centre at the North end of Canada Place to find out more about the Port on your own, or book a presentation to learn with one of our knowledgable community relations staff members.

We offer key educational resources for education groups, please see the links that will lead you to either Primary, Secondary, or Post-Secondary activities and learning outcomes to fit your educational needs. Additionally you can click on "Port in a Box" to find out about our brand new Port in Box learning package. This is an ideal tool for teachers, the box contains everything from cargo samples to videos and field trip guides. Come learn about the Port in your backyard!
